YOGA CLASSES / SERVICES OFFERED


INTEGRATIVE YOGA THERAPY

classes are designed for total wellness with equal emphasis on the physical, mental/emotional and spiritual. Classes taught here are influenced by Vanda Scaravelli, author of "Awakening the Spine" and include postures, breathing, hand positions (mudras), relaxation and meditation.

There is a blend of some of the traditional and contemporary elements of yoga to involve the student at every level of his/her being.

KUNDALINI YOGA

as taught by Yogi Bhajan is a safe and comprehensive system that removes unconscious blocks to our freedom and promotes optimum health.

Kundalini yoga consists of a variety of yoga techniques: postures, movement, specialized breathing, hand gestures, body locks, chanting and sound.

This creates specific effects to strengthen and tone the nerves, glands and organs of the body and ultimately draw the mind and senses inward to experience a deeper state of consciousness, a feeling of blissful union with spirit.

YOGA THERAPY

is the science of applying the various techniques of yoga in a variety of illnesses and conditions, to facilitate optimal health, healing and awakening. Classes are designed for the individual or group with a therapeutic focus for a specific health condition e.g. cancer, heart, prenatal, diabetes, multiple sclerosis.

RESTORATIVE YOGA AND BREATH MEDITATION


Relax and unwind, as you stretch passively over bolsters. Excellent for those with limited mobility, and busy individuals who want to pamper themselves and refocus. Breathe properly and consciously. Get more out of life.

CHRONIC PAIN MANAGEMENT


If you have to live with pain, why not learn to live well with pain? Individuals suffering with chronic pain can learn how to manage pain and improve physical and emotional functioning. Classes are held twice a week for six weeks.



YOGA FOR YOUTH

Through the International Association of Black Yoga Teachers, we support the Yoga for Youth program with a mission to serve our youths longing to live joyous and fulfilling lives by providing them a solid physical, mental, and emotional base through the practice of yoga.

To introduce them to the elevating experience of their own personal greatness by sharing age old techniques, to foster compassion, forgiveness, courage and respect for themselves and others.

The YOGA program provides fun and challenging exercises for the participants. They learn practical applications of Yogic technology in an energizing and enjoyable way. If you would like Yoga for Youth to come to you, please contact us.
