Basic Level Yoga Teachers Training Certification Canada
200 hour Level Yoga Certification in Ontario – Yoga Alliance approved
Take Your Love of Life to the Next Level.
Have you benefited from yoga and now wish to share it? Perhaps you recognize yoga as a life skill and would like to teach yoga for wellness. You may also want to deepen your own practice, or might be searching for the answer to, “Who am I?”
This learning programs might work for you.
What happens in the program?
Here you explore a variety of yoga techniques: asana, pranayama, mudras, etc. In addition, you will become familiar with yoga philosophy. In this way your learning is supported with both theory and practice.
Personalizing Yoga Practice
It is important that both yoga teacher and student adjust yoga techniques. The poses, breathing exercises, and meditation can all be adjusted to consider individual differences. The result is more ease and empowerment for the student.
Even though Ayurveda is a system that originates in India, its principles are universal. And some of the practices address rejuvenation; both physical and mental. Applying these principles and practices increase wellness.
Somatics is a system that offers both education and movement to regain control of your nerves and muscles. Through gentle exercises chronic muscular contractions are addressed. Somatics disproves the belief that aging means aches, pains, and stiffness.
Body Therapies Yoga Training’s Uniqueness
Our lead instructor first studied at Esther Myers Yoga Studio in Toronto. She then focused on the therapeutic side of yoga with Integrative Yoga Therapy at Enchanted Mountain, Brazil. Body Therapies focuses on rejuvenation. It promotes compassion, appreciation and gratitude. And strengthens the relationship with one’s own inner guiding voice, as well as with nature.
There are three possible options for completing this course of 20 in class days:
September 2017 to May 2018 in Toronto at CAISH, Bloor and Spadina. Twenty in class days scheduled on some weekends.
Twenty in class days over a four week period starting in July 2018 in Hamilton. This is a summer retreat-like “intensive”.
You may take the first five days of the course in Ontario, and then the next five days (level 2) in February 2018 in Barbados.
Before graduating learners must teach eight yoga classes in their community. They benefit from the experience of setting up and running a yoga program. During the internship practitioners receive on-line feedback and mentoring.
For the longer weekend program (Option One), the internship occurs towards the end of the program. For the four week intensive (Option Two) the internship takes place after the 20 in class days.
