Special Notes: Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, is a safe and comprehensive system that removes unconscious blocks to our freedom and promotes optimum health. Kundalini yoga consists of a variety of yoga techniques: postures, movement, specialized breathing, hand gestures, body locks, chanting and sound. This creates specific effects to strengthen and tone the nerves, glands and organs of the body and ultimately draw the mind and senses inward to experience a deeper state of consciousness, a feeling of blissful union with spirit.

Workshop

Non Harming and Truth for Better Relationships – Practising healthier ways of relating in personal and professional life

FRIDAY March 12, 2010 6-9pm and FRIDAY March 19, 2010 6-9pm
SUNDAY March 14, 2010: 10 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.; 2 p.m.- 5.00 p.m.

SATURDAY May 8, 2010:  10 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.; 2 p.m.- 5.00 p.m.

Students, clients, friends and family from time to time ask for our help when in fear, confusion and pain. Even though our intention is to help not to hurt, because of our response we may actually hinder. We can be less defensive, reduce assumptions and judgments, and be more assertive in a helpful way.

  • What are the signs that our response will be tarnished?
  • How can we help when we ourselves are wounded?
  • What are common unhealthy patterns of relating that create barriers to true intimacy, and how can we overcome them?
  • How do we create a safe space that allows others to find the true healer within?

In these 2 sessions we explore these questions and practice ways of relating that are more satisfying to all. The workshops is based on traditional Yoga Philosophy and Practice as well as contemporary methods. They qualify for Yoga Alliance CEU under Philosophy, Lifestyle and Ethics. Anyone can attend this workshop.
