300 hour curriculum – Yoga Meditation and Ayurveda

Graduates from this program will be able to address structural, energetic and mental emotional imbalances that manifest as stress, suffering, pain and disease through teaching yoga for healing, simple yoga routines, breathing exercises, relaxation training, meditation training.

Are you eligible?
This program is open to yoga teachers, and those in helping professions with at least 1 year’s practice of yoga or meditation.
Please note that this 300 hour curriculum is delivered in 3 stand alone modules.
Module 1- Yoga Meditation Ayurveda and Wellness (100 hours)
Start Date: July 21-29, 2012 – Saturday to Sunday of the following week – 9 days: 9.a.m. to 7.00 p.m.
Program details:
- Master the principles of Yoga and Ayurveda to enhance self-care and caring for others
- Learn the scientific basis of Yoga, Meditation, and Ayurveda used in the promotion of wellness for individual and client populations
- Learn how to improve strength and range of movement, address structural imbalances, and alleviate chronic pain through a conscious involvement of the brain and nervous system
- Assess a client’s Ayurvedic mind-body type and state of balance or imbalance
- Learn to select, modify, and adapt basic yoga sequences, hatha yoga asanas, methods of relaxation, and meditation techniques to restore balance
- Practice hands-on techniques with marma pressure for the doshas
- Customize your own wellness program for self-reliance and self-care management including diet, lifestyle, yoga and meditation

Module 2: Yoga Meditation Ayurveda and Stress Management (100 hours)
Start Date: July 20-28, 2013 – 9 days: 9.a.m. to 7.00 p.m.
Program details:
- Understand subtle anatomy (marmas, chakras, nadis) and its use to address physiological and psychological imbalances
- Learn the biological basis of yoga, ayurveda, and meditation as each relates to subtle anatomy
- Diagnose imbalances based on specific signs of dosha aggravation
- Select, modify, and adapt simple yoga meditation and ayurveda techniques to restore balance (techniques for relaxation, pranayama, yoga routines)
- Develop an appreciation for yoga and ayurveda philosophies and practices as they apply to stress management and aging well
- Understand the biological basis of meditation for stress management and cardiovascular health
- Measure and diagnose client pulse rates and treat the underlying conditions
- Practice hands-on marma techniques for meditation

Module 3 - Yoga Meditation Ayurveda and Healing (100 hours)
Start Date: July 19-27, 2014 – Saturday to Sunday of the following week – 9 days: 9.a.m. to 7.00 p.m.
Program details:
- Master systematic relaxation of the body and nervous system using Yoga Nidra
- Apply the deep relaxation techniques of Yoga Nidra to desensitize and promote healing
- Learn the science behind the principles of Ayurveda therapeutics and pancha karma
- Understand, through in-class experience, how emotions affect the brain and immune system
- Develop an appreciation for the biological and psychological benefits of a meditative approach to healing
- Practice dialogue and listening skills essential for beneficial relationships with clients
- Practice hands-on techniques for marma therapy
- Understand how ethics relates to healing

* We want our Yoga Teacher Training Programs to be accessible to all levels of income earners and so we offer convenient 6 month payment plan. Ask for details.
Cancellation Policy
*Payments and deposits are only refundable if you cancel with 4 weeks or more advanced notice. Cancellation must be in written form and there is a $50 processing fee that is non-refundable. If cancellation takes place with less then 4 weeks written notice then you will forfeit your $400 deposit.
