Yoga and Ayurveda Therapist Program
Yoga teachers, holistic health practitioners, and those interested in natural and preventive care, can increase their knowledge and skills in mind-body health care for their clients, their family and community.
This program includes in depth knowledge of:
- Functional anatomy and movement sciences
- Modern biomedical science on most major disorders
- Ayurvedic principles, diet and most common/effective herbs for a condition
- Knowledge and skills to create personalized balanced Yoga and Ayurveda programs
Module 1
- Principles of Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda that govern consciousness-based body-mind health care
- Assessment of students’ musculoskeletal bodies for range of movement and strength in order to address structural imbalances
- Assessment of individual’s Ayurvedic body-mind type and state of balance or imbalance
- Selection, modification, adaptation and contraindications of asana sequence to restore balance based on the individual’s abilities, Ayurvedic body-mind type, age, time of day, season etc.
- Hands on practice of marma protocols for maintaining good health
- Customizing your own wellness program according to body-mind type with proper use of diet, lifestyle, routine, yoga and meditation
Module 2
- Indirect assessment of Yogic and Ayurvedic models of anatomy (nadis, chakras, pranavayus) in order to address functional and psychological imbalances
- Diagnosis of imbalances based on specific signs of doshas aggravation
- Selection, modification, adaptation and contraindications of asana, pranayama and Ayurveda practices to restore balance and wellness for common health conditions
- Stress management and aging well through Yoga and Ayurveda philosophy and practices (includes somatics, restorative yoga, assisted yoga stretches)
- Pulse diagnosis – a scientific, systematic tool for the early detection and understanding of imbalances in the different areas of the body
- Hands on practice of marma protocols including for nervous system
Module 3
- Yoga Nidra theory and practices
- Management of common disorders through Yoga, Ayurveda and marma therapy
- Hands on practice of marma protocols
- Psychoneuroimmunology Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda
- Principles of Ayurveda therapeutics and panchakarma
- Ethical Foundations of Yoga and Ayurveda
- Listening and dialogue skills for relating in therapeutic ways
Module 1: October 30-November 7, 2010 (9 days) – $1210 + tax
Module 2: May 7-15, 2011 (9 days) – $1210 + tax
Module 3: September 10-18, 2011 (9 days) – $1210 + tax
Program Deposit:

* We want our Yoga Teacher Training Program to be accessible to all levels of income earners and so we offer convenient 6 month payment plan. Ask for details.
Cancellation Policy
*Payments and deposits are only refundable if you cancel with 4 weeks or more advanced notice. Cancellation must be in written form and there is a $50 processing fee that is non-refundable. If cancellation takes place with less then 4 weeks written notice then you will forfeit your $400 deposit.
If for some reason you begin the course and cannot finish the program for whatever reason, (we understand things can happen over the training period) we will not refund your money, however, we will allow you to transfer into next seasons program with an only needing to pay $150 transfer fee.
